How To Take Ramipril 

The dosage for ramipril can depend on a variety of factors including age, weight, and severity of symptoms. Typically, your doctor will start you off with a low dosage of ramipril before increasing dosage incrementally over time. 

Ramipril is available as a capsule and tablet. It comes at strengths of 1.25mg, 2.5mg, 5mg, and 10mg as both a capsule and tablet.

Ramipril Dosage 

The recommended dosage for ramipril can range from 2.5mg to 10mg per day. Adults with high blood pressure should begin by taking 2.5mg of ramipril once per day. Adults suffering from heart failure after a heart attack should begin by taking 2.5 mg twice per day. Dosage may increase to 5mg twice per day, depending on doctor consultation. 

Dosage For Hypertension (High Blood Pressure

Adults: 2.5-20mg per day, taken by mouth in one or two doses. 

Dosage For High Risk Of Heart Attack And Stroke

Adults: 2.5mg taken once per day by mouth for a week. Then,  5mg once per day for three weeks.
